first collaboration
Last week, we had the honor of collaborating with Oppegaard Meadery to create a new, mouthwatering mead. This to-be-named mead is made with coffee, cacao nibs, and Belgian dark candi syrup. It is aging in a bourbon barrel until it gets the perfect amount of barrel character. It was a pleasure working with the crew from Oppegaard Meadery for our very first collaboration. They bring a lot of experience, wisdom, and laughs to the table.

Oppegaard Meadery is owned by Jon Oppegaard. Making Mead has been a passion for Jon nearly his entire adult life. What started out as a fun hobby to reconnect with a tradition older than recorded history quickly turned into an obsession after his first Meads were nearly undrinkable.
